The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) have announced the recipients of two grants to deliver support to BN(O) visa holders in England.
Employment Support
MHCLG has announced that the Growth Company has been funded to deliver employment support to BN(O) visa holders in England for 6-months.
Jobs for Hongkongers is an initiative delivered nationally by The Growth Company (a non-for-profit social enterprise based in Manchester). It is an 8-week programme of support that BN(O) visa holders, who live in England, can access to receive employability support in Cantonese from a dedicated support worker.
The support worker will offer them information, advice and guidance in CV writing, effective strategies for job searching in the UK, identifying priority sectors, mock job interviews and other support in group settings as well as one to one. The programme will also offer BN(O) visa holders the chance to access English conversation classes to improve their English and confidence.
You can register for support by emailing Jobsforhongkongers@gcemployment.uk or you can visit the Jobs for Hongkongers website to learn more about the support and how to register.
